The Qatar Post Airway Bill constitute as the official shipping document for your shipment.

By submitting a shipment, the sender represents and warrants that:

  • All information provided is accurate , complete and not misleading.
  • The Sender the owner of the shipment or duly authorized to send it on behalf of the owner.
  • The sender shall remain solely responsible for accuracy of all information provided.

Qatar Post may assist in completing the Airway Bill based on the information provided by the sender. However, such assistance shall not relive the sender from liability.

2.1 Shipment Information

To ensure smooth delivery and customs clearance, the sender is responsible for:

  • Accurately declaring the shipment contents and value
  • Ensuring the shipment does not contain prohibited or restricted items in accordance with the applicable laws, regulations, and postal standards, including those of Universal Postal Union.
  • Packaging and labeling the shipment appropriately for safe transportation

2.2 Non-Compliant Shipments

For safety, legal, and operational reasons, Qatar Post may decline, return, or dispose any shipments that:

  • Contain prohibited items
  • Include incorrect or incomplete declarations
  • Do not comply with shipping or customs requirements

2.3 Any resulting costs, delays, penalties, or legal consequences shall be borne by the customer. Customs Duties and Additional Charges

The sender or receiver may be responsible for:

  • Customs duties and taxes
  • Storage or handling fees
  • Return or disposal or redirection costs where applicable.

2.4 Right to Refuse Service

At its sole discretion, Qatar Post reserves the right to refuse shipments that do not meet shipping, safety, or regulatory requirements.

Qatar Post may collect and process personal data (including name, contact details, and address) for:

  • Shipment processing
  • Delivery updates and customer communication
  • Service-related support
  • Compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.

All personal data is handled in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of the State of Qatar.

Qatar Post reserves the right to open and inspect shipments where required for security, customs, or regulatory purposes. Reasonable care shall be exercised during such inspections, however, Qatar Post shall not be liable for delays resulting from inspection procedures.

Qatar Post reserves the right to hold, suspend delivery, or withhold release of shipments until all applicable charges, duties, and fees are fully settled.

6.1 General liability

Qatar Post shall only be liable for loss or damage to shipments occurring while in its custody and in accordance with applicable postal laws, regulations, and international agreements.

Compensation is generally based on:

  • The declared or actual shipment value at the time of dispatch
  • Applicable service compensation limits

Express Mail (EMS)

  • Documents: 30 SDR + shipping charges
  • Non-documents: 130 SDR + shipping charges

Registered Mail

  • Documents: 30 SDR + shipping charges

Parcels

  • 4.5 SDR per kg + 40 SDR + shipping charges

SDR (Special Drawing Rights) values are determined according to international financial standards.

7.1 Claim Submission

Customers may submit claims in writing within 30 days from:

  • The shipment date; or
  • The expected delivery date

Claims submitted after this period shall not be accepted.

7.2 Processing Timeline

Claims are normally processed within 5 working days after receiving confirmation from the destination country regarding:

  • Loss
  • Damage
  • Delivery delays

7.3 Settlement Conditions

Claims can only be processed once all applicable shipping charges have been paid.

While Qatar Post strives to provide reliable and timely delivery services, delays may occasionally occur due to:

  • Customs procedures
  • Regulatory requirements
  • Weather conditions or natural events
  • Circumstances beyond operational control
  • Shipment packaging or content-related issues

Qatar Post will make reasonable efforts to minimize such delays whenever possible.

Qatar Post shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, civil unrest, governmental actions, pandemics, or disruptions in transportation or communication systems.

Qatar Post reserves the right to return, dispose of, or auction shipments that remain unclaimed within a reasonable period, in accordance with applicable internal policies.

  • Qatar Post reserves the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
  • Any such amendments shall become effective upon publication on the official Qatar Post website.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar.
