Qatar Post launches series of stamps

Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post) has launched stamp sets within a series launched specially for the occasion of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. Qatar Post has launched the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Official Match Ball stamp set on its 8th version of the stamp series for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 sponsored by Adidas.

The stamp set is to be sold to the public for QAR 15, 20,000 copies have been printed. 3,000 First Day issue envelopes, 3,000 Postcards and 3,000 VIP folders have been printed. This comes as part of the agreement with Federation International de Football Association (FIFA) by which Qatar Post became the official Licensee for stamps category for the World Cup 2022. Qatar Post has also launched a new stamp set, 2022 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony as the 9th version of the stamp series.

These stamp sets document and highlight all preparations and celebrations by Qatar to host the tournament, and embody the unique culture of Qatar as the first Arab country hosting the FIFA World Cup. The stamp set is to be sold to the public for QAR 20. As a first stage, 30,000 copies, 7,000 First Day issue envelopes, 6,000 postcards and 5,000 VIP folders have been printed. Regarding this set, Qatar Post has stated that the VIP folders are very limited.

Besides the 2022 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony stamp set, Qatar Post launched earlier another set under the name Qatari Football Victories, which were accomplished by Qatar in the following years:

The number of stamps that were issued is 20,000 stamps, 2,000 folders, and 3,000 envelopes for the first day.
